The Single Non-Transferable Orchestra, named after the world's least popular voting system, has its own Constitution, which has just two articles:
Anybody who wants to be in the band is in the band. In fact, anybody who even thinks for a moment that they might like to be in the band, is in the band. In fact, you're in the band.
Once you're in the band, you can't get out. That's the non-transferable part. Also, there is a $100 fine for missing practice. Death is no excuse.
