Hey Fanz!

OK, we've had ice storms, war, more war, SARS, Mad Cow Disease, West Nile Virus, and now total collapse of the infrastructure.  Don't let it get you down, there's still lots of chances to have fun!

By the time you get this message, it may be too late, but if it's still Saturday morning for you, you can catch me with the Single Non-Transferable Orchestra at the Fair Vote Canada Toronto Chapter Barbecue, Saturday, August 16 from noon to 4:00 p.m.  The party is at 82 Hammersmith Avenue, south of Queen in the Toronto Beaches.   The $20 admission goes towards supporting the campaign for a fair voting system in Canada.  Even if you can't come to the BBQ, visit the website at www.FairVoteCanada.org and sign the online petition.  And become a member.

The "Midsummer Light" exhibition continues until Labour Day at the Myers/Roschar Studio on Stoney Lake, including some of the illuminated pieces I worked on for Pattie Walker.  If you're going to be in that neighbourhood, (north of Peterborough), contact Joseph and Judith for info and directions at 705-654-1045, art@accel.net

I'm making lots of music with the Axes of Evil, (http://homepage.mac.com/rjholder/Menu1.html), but it's all private stuff.  Here's some public events you might want to catch where I'll be playing:

Saturday, September 20, Barrie, Roosters Bar

It's time to get fragrant again, with the Wee Stinky Band!  This band perfoms only twice a year, and the joint is always packed!  Never a cover!  (Who'd pay it?)

Sunday, September 21, Toronto, The Brunswick-Ulster Street Fair

It's street fair time, and Mr. Froggie and the Worm Gear, also known as The Band Bigger Than Lighthouse,  will be out in force, along with several other bands.  Surely it won't rain again this year!  The Brunswick-Ulster Street Fair happens, oddly enough, at the corner of Brunswick and Ulster.  I think it starts around noon and goes forever.  Lots of stuff for kids and grownups.

Saturday, September 27, Simcoe, the Scotch tasting society's annual Pig Roast

Pork and single malt, what more do I need to say?  You might have to join the club.  I don't have any contact info.  I don't know the venue or the price.  I don't even know the name of the Scotch tasting society, but Simcoe's a small town.  If you're thirsty enough, you'll find out.

Also, the Otterville Rock & Soul Review (www.orsr.com) will be going into the studio in September.  Stay posted!

Did you see me at the Rolling Stones concert?  I was the one up front, with the hat.

Stay cool!

P.S.  wayneon.ca?  Does this mean that Wayne Neon has a website?  Well, yes, and you can look at it.  But don't get your hopes up.  It's not quite ready for prime time.
